Ok, a little break from topics related to interest ratesâŠ
Letâs dive into some trends we can be on top of for 2024.
âNEWâtral Exterior Colors

According to residential and commercial color consultant Amy Wax, neutral colors are becoming more popular as they offer a safe choice for homeowners.
These colors also provide the opportunity to focus on landscaping and allow homeowners to market their homes without the need for repainting.
Unlike the subdued hues of the past, many neutrals today are even darker, such as midnight blue, charcoal gray, and true black, which add a touch of drama to the exterior.
Transparent TVs?!

After years of development, transparent TVs are finally becoming a reality. LG recently announced that it will start selling its 77-inch 4K transparent OLED TV in the second half of this year.
This groundbreaking TV, which won a CES 2024 Best of Innovation Award, offers a unique 3D-like viewing experience.
What sets it apart is LG's Zero Connect technology, which allows the TV to be plug-free and placed anywhere in a room. The TV receives video and audio wirelessly, eliminating the need for messy cables.
Downsized Appliances

Appliance manufacturers are also focusing on creating all-in-one solutions to free up space in our homes. Both LG and Samsung showcased their washer-dryer combos, which combine a washer and a dryer in a single unit.
Samsung's Bespoke All-in-One Washer and Dryer Combo aims to save time and space, while LG's 27-inch washer-dryer combo offers an all-in-one solution with a ventless system that uses a heat pump. This allows the washer-dryer combo to be placed anywhere in the home, as it does not require a dedicated vent.
Both LG and Samsung claim that their AI-powered washer-dryer combos can wash and dry clothes in under two hours, using 60% less energy than traditional models.
AI-Powered Refrigerators

Smart refrigerators with high-tech touchscreens have become a staple at CES, and this year, Samsung has taken it a step further by adding more AI features to its refrigerator line.
The Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+ features an internal camera that can identify individual food items and suggest recipes based on what you have in stock.
It can even tailor recipes to dietary preferences, such as gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options. The refrigerator can also send cooking instructions to other smart appliances, making it a true personal chef in the kitchen.
